Planes, Trains & Automobiles

This week, Mark and Mindy are going home for the holidays…or at least trying…as they review the 1987 John Hughes film Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Poor Neal Page (Steve Martin) just wants to get home to his family for Thanksgiving, but everything seems to be working against him. Compounding the situation is the bumbling Del Griffith (John Candy), who seems to be a walking case of Murphy’s Law.
Mark and Mindy also discuss the Korean horror The Red Shoes and Star Trek.

Pretty sweet how Mark asked you to edit out his mistake, and you totally roasted him by leaving it in. “It all comes out on the editing room floor” - unless you think it’s funnier when you leave it in. The only thing I disliked about the film was how annoyingly simple the John Candy character is…. painfully annoying.
